Johnson and Johnson has a Major Push to Make Their Products Less Toxic. 98% Ingredients are NOT OK to Use. Only 2% are OK to Use.

Johnson and Johnson has just gone through a major transformation to convert their baby products to safer formulations.  Several weeks ago, I visited their website which claimed that 98% of the cosmetics and toiletries ingredients were toxic, only 2% were alright to use.  I visited the website today and could not find that page again.  I think it was removed from their website.  I did find one reference to the 98% of ingredients were NOT safe to use on their website.  Here it is:

I think it is great that Johnson and Johnson is becoming more aware of the problems of toxicity, cancer causing chemicals, and allergy causing chemicals.  However, it still seems that they may be blissfully unaware that some chemicals and herbs are hormone disruptive.  They are still using phenoxyethanol as a preservative, and phenoxyethanol is a know xenoestrogen.  But I think Johnson and Johnson is to be commended for trying to move their products to become more healthy.  It is a very difficult technical puzzle to make cosmetics and toiletries that do not affect our health adversely.

Here is an article by the NY Times that shows that Johnson and Johnson is reformulating their baby products to be less toxic. Here are the two screen shots before this article is erased from the web.

It's not as if Johnson and Johnson doesn't have motivation to clean up their products.  Johnson and Johnson was sued for selling products that caused cancer and the jury trial awarded the cancer patients millions of dollars.  I think it is  admirable that Johnson and Johnson is stepping up to the plate and trying to create safer products for consumers to use.

Here is the link to the lawsuits and below is the screen shot.
